Which plan should I recommend?
Hobbyist and above include unlimited base generations on a curated set of models — no credits deducted for a standard text-to-image create.

Fast Credits come with your PRO subscription each month (and with PRO top-ups, credit packs and gift cards). They create in Fast mode — no waiting. Some expensive models require Fast Credits (for example Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image High, and medium/expensive video models).
Relax Credits are earned for free — daily login/streak rewards, the Daily Challenge, badges and your 5-day streak reward (10 credits every 5 days). They work like Fast Credits but generate at lower priority when servers are less busy (usually a few seconds to a minute). In Relax mode you can queue one creation at a time.
PRO users who run out of Fast Credits can still create with Relax Credits (including on many PRO models) in Relax mode, or buy more Fast Credits with a cheap PRO top-up. You can also choose Relax mode on purpose to save Fast Credits for models that require them.

If you do not want a subscription, you can buy a one-off credit pack on the pricing page. Packs include Fast Credits plus a short burst of PRO status (from a few days up to three months, depending on the pack).

If you already subscribe and just need more Fast Credits, use a PRO top-up (or Charge Now) instead of a credit pack. Top-up cost per credit is based on your plan and is lower than pack pricing.

If you create a few times a week and mainly want better image models, start with Hobbyist or Enthusiast. If you make video, start at Enthusiast (the first plan with all video models). If you want unlimited Nano Banana / Seedream / Flux 2 Pro, you need Artist. You can upgrade later — many people start on Enthusiast and move up once they know their favourite models.
Yes. NightCafe is free to use. Every user can create with free Relax Credits (daily streak, Daily Challenge, badges) and gets a free first creation each day. PRO is for Fast mode, the full model library, unlimited models and the rest of the perks above. Because you can cancel any time and keep PRO until the period ends, a monthly or quarterly plan is a low-commitment way to try the full product.
Often yes, if the models you want are PRO-only or you hate waiting in Relax mode. A month of Hobbyist or Enthusiast is usually better value than a credit pack, and you can pause afterwards. If you truly want a one-off burst, a gift card (for a set plan and duration) is a cleaner option than a credit pack. Annual only makes sense if you expect to create across the year — or you can pause if life gets busy.
You lose PRO-only perks: unlimited models, PRO-exclusive models, full video access, private search, no-ads, and so on. Unused Fast Credits stay on your account and can still be used on non-PRO models. You keep earning free Relax Credits as before.
No. Unused Fast Credits roll over. Even after you cancel, you keep the Fast Credits you already received (usable on non-PRO models once PRO has ended).
Yes. Daily streak rewards, Daily Challenge credits, badges and other free rewards still apply. See Do I still get free credits if I go PRO?
Create in Relax mode with earned credits, or buy a PRO top-up at your plan’s cheap per-credit rate ($0.06 down to $0.036 depending on plan). You can also Charge Now to pull your next subscription payment forward. That is almost always better than buying a credit pack.
Credit packs exist, but they only include short-lived Hobbyist-level PRO and are worse value. Gift cards are the right one-off if you are buying for someone else. For yourself, a cancellable PRO subscription is the better default.

Payment is handled by Paddle, a PCI-DSS compliant Merchant of Record. NightCafe never sees your full card number (only the last four digits). See Is the checkout secure? and Do you keep my card details?

Yes, provided you did not use copyrighted input images and subject to copyright law in your country. NightCafe assigns its rights in your creations to you. Details: commercial use and copyright.
PRO is for a single NightCafe account. There is no family or team plan. If several people need PRO, each person should have their own subscription — or you can send them gift cards.
There is no standing student SKU. Watch the pricing page for site-wide sales, and annual billing is already 40% off monthly. New subscribers are sometimes offered a first-month bonus — any current offer will show on the pricing page.
Yes. NightCafe PRO applies to your account on the website and in the NightCafe apps. Sign in with the same account.
No. Current PRO plans do not include a separate fine-tuning credit allowance. You can still use community fine-tuned models, and you can pay for fine-tuning with Fast Credits. Existing fine-tuning credits already on an account still work.
Credits go to whichever account you were logged into at purchase. Contact support and we can transfer them.
Credits for failed / error creations are refunded automatically. Try again.
They usually appear within a minute. If it takes more than 10 minutes, contact support with your order number. Quarterly and annual plans receive Fast Credits in advance for the period; monthly plans receive them when each payment processes. See I haven't received my credits this month.
Yes — use a gift card. Do not subscribe on their behalf using your own login, or the PRO and credits will land on your account.
Yes, if you want PRO models, unlimited generations, Fast mode and the other perks. Your existing credits stay on the account. New Fast Credits from the subscription stack on top.
We update plans when model costs and the product change. Annual billing locks in the current annual price for that year. We announce material plan changes on the site (for example the 2026 credit and plan updates).
