If you are on a PRO plan and using a model marked Unlimited, you should not be charged credits for a base generation — unless you have used up your monthly fast unlimited quota and are creating in Fast mode.
In almost all cases, that is what is happening.
How unlimited models work
Unlimited models are included with PRO plans, but they are not unlimited fast mode forever. Each plan includes a monthly fast unlimited quota — measured as equivalent credit spend. While you still have quota:
- Unlimited models cost 0 credits
- Generations run in Fast mode (skip the queue)
Once your fast unlimited quota is used up:
- Unlimited models are still free in Relax mode (you wait in the queue)
- If you keep Fast mode turned on, the model's normal credit cost applies
That is why you may see credits being charged even though the model shows as Unlimited.
What to do
- In the Studio, look at the Fast mode toggle next to the Create button.
- If you see a warning icon, your fast unlimited quota has been used up.
- Turn Fast mode off to create in Relax mode for free (with queue wait times), or leave Fast mode on if you prefer to skip the queue and pay credits.
Your fast unlimited quota resets when your PRO plan renews, or if you upgrade your plan. The amount of fast unlimited quota depends on your plan — see the pricing page for details.
Other reasons you might be charged
- Extra options — Unlimited covers the base generation only. Add-ons such as multiple images, higher resolution, ControlNet, start images, or other advanced settings can add cost on top of the free base generation.
- Fast-credits-only models — Some models always require fast credits and are not included in unlimited access, even on PRO plans. These models will charge credits regardless of your fast unlimited quota.
- Expired or cancelled PRO — Unlimited access requires an active PRO subscription. If your plan has expired or been cancelled, unlimited models revert to normal credit pricing until you resubscribe.
