Explore is NightCafe's public gallery, where you can browse creations published by artists from around the world. It's the best place to find inspiration, see what's possible, and discover creators to follow.
On a phone, tap Browse in the bottom bar, then Explore (on some accounts Browse goes straight to Explore). On desktop, choose Explore from the top navigation. You can also visit creator.nightcafe.studio/explore. You don't need to be logged in to browse. See Getting around NightCafe on mobile.
Use the sort options to change what rises to the top. The default view is Default (Mixed) — a mix of new, popular, and (when you're logged in) work from people you follow. Other sorts include:
You can also filter the grid, such as showing only videos, only work made with a particular model, or Daily Challenge entries.
When you're logged in, the default Explore mix hides creations you've already viewed recently — typically within about the last three days — so you keep seeing fresh art instead of the same posts repeating.
A creation is marked as viewed when you open it (the full page or the popup). In a feed, it is only marked as viewed after you've looked at it for a few seconds. Quickly scrolling past something will not hide it from the mix.
This only applies to the default mixed feed. Dedicated sorts such as Newest Creations, Hottest Creations, Top: Last Hour, Top: Last Day, Following, and the other ranked views still include creations you've already seen. If you're browsing while logged out, Explore does not filter by viewing history.
If a creation you viewed recently seems to have disappeared from the default feed, switch to one of those dedicated sorts — it hasn't been unpublished; the default mix is just showing you something new.
Click any creation to open it. From there you can like it, leave a comment, follow the artist, or add it to one of your collections. Opening a creation is also a great way to learn — you can often see the prompt and settings that were used.
Explore shows art from the whole community. If you'd rather see work from just the artists you follow, use Feed instead — on mobile it's under the same Browse menu, or go to creator.nightcafe.studio/feed.
