Qwen (by Alibaba) is a family of image generation and editing models on NightCafe, known for excellent typography and strong editing.

The variants

  • Qwen Image — excels at typography (Qwen Image SD is a cheaper, lower-resolution option).
  • Qwen Image 2512 — major realism improvements for photorealistic people.
  • Qwen Image 2.0 / 2.0 Pro — unified generation and editing, native 2K resolution and excellent typography; support up to 3 images for multi-image fusion and editing.
  • Qwen Image Edit / Edit Plus / Edit 2511 — focused on editing an existing image. Edit Plus and 2511 support multiple start images; 2511 is especially good at preserving people and textures while you swap backgrounds.

For the editing models, describe the change in your prompt — e.g. “Change the car color to red” — and remember they need a start image to edit.
