Seeing two charges on your statement can be alarming, but it does not always mean you were billed twice for the same thing.
Common reasons
- Subscription renewal + PRO top-up — If you bought a top-up for extra credits, that is a separate one-off charge from your regular subscription renewal.
- Plan change — Changing your plan bills immediately for the new plan. Your next renewal date is also reset.
- Resuming after delaying payment — If you delayed your next payment and then resumed your subscription (or paid early), you may see an immediate charge and a separate Scheduled payment row in your Payments table. That is expected.
- Tax at checkout — Prices on the pricing page are shown ex-tax. Paddle adds local VAT or sales tax at checkout, which can make the final amount look different from the listed price.
What to check
- Open Account settings → Manage subscription (/account/subscription).
- Review the Payments table for receipt links, dates, and status (Paid vs Scheduled).
- Compare amounts and dates — two charges on different days may be a renewal plus a top-up or plan change, not a duplicate.
NightCafe only grants subscription credits once per Paddle order. If the same payment was processed twice in error, contact us via the feedback form with your account email and Paddle receipt details.
