Deprecation of OpenAI Models - DALL-E 2 & 3

OpenAI is pulling the plug on DALL-E 2 & 3. On May 12, 2026, OpenAI will officially retire the model meaning NightCafe will no longer be able to offer it to our users.

We did our best to convince OpenAI to keep DALL-E 3 around. We showed them some examples of art styles that DALL-E 3 is still the best at, and told them our community would be very disappointed. Unfortunately they were not persuaded.

DALL-E 3 will be missed. In the lead-up to it's deprecation, we'll hold a DALL-E 3 community challenge so we can all give it one last hurrah before it disappears for good.
